Founded in 2025, Heroes in the Shadows is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving those who often carry the weight of their communities without recognition. We provide equine-assisted therapy, workforce development opportunities, and essential support resources to veterans, first responders, and at-risk youth—individuals whose strength and sacrifices are frequently unseen.

Through the unique healing connection between humans and horses, our equine therapy programs help participants build confidence, emotional resilience, trust, and personal growth. Complementing these services, our workforce development initiatives equip individuals with practical skills, career readiness training, mentorship, and pathways to meaningful employment. We also connect participants with critical resources that support long-term stability, wellness, and success.
